Emma Watson playing the game

This article is from the other day. It talks about Emma's business relationship with American movie producer Harvey Weinstein and sums up some history going back to her trip to LA. Within the first link it has links that take you back to her other articles. This scales back from now to right around christmas

Article from laineygossip.com June 2011

All of us wondered during the liveblog if Emma Watson bitchfaced (click that link about emma's behind the scene attitude) Emma Stone (another one of Weinstein's muses) during Stone’s acceptance speech last night. Watson was seated behind Hailee Steinfeld. And Hailee Steinfeld was clapping like she’d never been let out of the house before which...that might be true. As Duana noted, juxtaposed with that kind of enthusiasm, Watson’s unamused expression seemed extra crusty. The two did however pose together backstage. So now I’m trying to decide whether or not Watson was fake-smiling through it.

Better this than worry about what she’s wearing. First of all, as we collectively agreed all four of us – Duana, Sarah, Sasha – last night, it’s boring. Also the crease at the hem is bothering me, like she just had it let out in the car on the way over. But worst yet, it’s Marchesa (Click on that link to see her flash more cleavage)...and well, I have already expressed concerns about Harvey Weinstein wooing her and this only fuels to that. Please Emma (Watson, here, but both of them, really), be careful. Emma Watson, who is usually able to keep a low profile when she’s not working, gave us a lot to see and write about this weekend. With the BAFTAs happening in England, she was out at pre-parties and dinners, super A list at every event, and then tonight in London it was the ELLE Style Awards.

Am also attaching pictures of Emma leaving a BAFTA dinner the other night (in an amazing Burberry trench) with Harvey Weinstein and some friends. They hopped into his Rolls Royce and he took them to a club. Harvey has made it clear he wants to work with her and although Emma doesn’t need to offer much in exchange to work with him, seeing as she’s in a much better position than some of the other, um, fillies in his stable, it makes me uneasy that he’s around, is all. Picture him, Harvey, with a group of girls at Mahiki? Gross? Or just me?

Emma Watson rocks a Burberry trench coat during a busy night out in London. The actress attended Harvey Weinstein's Pre-BAFTA Party at Almada Club in Mayfair before continuing her night out at Mahiki Club. She eventually left there at 3.20am and returned to her hotel..Emma, who models for Burberry, was wearing a beige trench coat with contrasting leather sleeves from their new Spring/Summer 2011 range - available for approx £1795.00..    Taken by surprise: Emma Watson looks less than thrilled as Weinstein escorted her through the crowd outside Mahiki in London Emma Watson Emma Watson rocks a Burberry trench coat during a busy night out in London. Emma Watson wears a low cut blue dress as she arrives for a pre-BAFTAs party at the Box nightclub in the red-light district of Soho. Emma was wearing some seriously "bling" cuffs and carrying a sparkly clutch bag as she wandered past the seductive adult sex shops on the way to the party as Emma had a little glance at the naughty sign posts. At one stage, an unidentified man started a confrontation with the actress's security and grabbed him as they walked along. Another man made an attempt to grab Emma, b ut she seemed completely unfazed by the fuss she was causing in the neon streets of Soho. Later on, outside the party Emma's ex-boyfriend George Craig (from the band One Night Only), waited patiently with the forming crowds outside the party. After leaving the party photographers were literally falling over themselves to get a picture of the "Harry Potter" star. On the way back in her Rolls Royce, Emma got police escort back to her hotel where another photographer took a tumble trying to get pictures. Emma Watson wears a low cut blue dress as she arrives for a pre-BAFTAs party at the Box nightclub in the red-light district of Soho. I read about this item just at the start of the holiday and wanted to hold on it because people are in and out during that time and, well, we need all the energy we can get, collectively, to will this not to happen. Harvey Weinstein was in London and happened to see some footage of Emma Watson (in a supporting role) in a new movie called My Week With Marilyn (Oct-Nov 2010), headlined by Michelle Williams. Weinstein was impressed. And interested. Professionally. I guess.

"For ten years (Emma) has been this schoolgirl in the Harry Potter films and now you see her as a woman for the first time. She has an elegance about her - she looks like Jean Shrimpton! - plus she has a gift for comedy and drama, and we're just starting to see her range. I feel we're going to work together a lot in the future."

I feel dread. You?

Then again, Emma is going to school (click on this link for enlightenment) instead of spending her 20s twatting around Hollywood (this is good as well so click it). She wasn’t raised there. She is beyond wealthy, she’s not desperate, and she’s not desperately hungry. And this sets her apart. Reassure me that I’m right. This is Emma arriving in LA on New Year’s Eve. I was kinda worried about her spending it there, but since then no one has seen her, she hasn’t been papped (yet), I’m now almost proud instead. This is what I mean about keeping your sh-t tight and not playing that game.

WHO IS  HARVEY WEINSTEIN?

He's the co-chairman of The Weinstein company. His networth is 150 million. He won acadmey awards for Shakespeare in Love and recently The Kings Speech. He's produced musicals that won awards like The producers, Bill Elliot the musical and August: Osage country. He has helpd develop Mirimax studios. He was named commander of the Order of the British empire in recognition of his contributions to the British film industry. He does do some charity work, however,Weinstein has also cultivated a reputation for ruthlessness and fits of anger. According to Biskind, Weinstein once put a New York Observer reporter in a headlock while throwing him out of a party. On another occasion, Weinstein excoriated director Julie Taymor and her husband during a disagreement over a test screening of her movie Frida.

In October 13, 2008 Newsweek story criticized Weinstein, who was accused of "hassling Sydney Pollack on his deathbed" about the release of the film The reader. After Weinstein offered $1 million to charity if the accusation could be proven, journalist Nikki Finke published an August 22 email by Scott Rudin asserting that Weinstein "harassed" Anythony Minghella's widow and a bedridden Pollack until Pollack's family asked him to stop.  In September 2009, Weinstein publicly voiced opposition to efforts to extradite Roman Polanski (child rapist) from Switzerland to the U.S. regarding 1977 charges of unlawful sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old, to which Polanski had pled guilty before fleeing the country. Weinstein, whose company had distributed a film about the Polanski case, questioned whether Polanski committed any crime.

In February 2009, former Sam & Dave singer Sam Moore filed suit against Harvey and Bob WeinsteinWeinstein Co. comedy starring Bernie Mac and Samuel L. Jackson. In February 2011, filmmaker Michael Moore took legal action against the Weinstein brothers, claiming he is owed millions in profits for his 2004 documentary Fahrenheit 911. Harvey Weingard, a character portrayed by maury Chaykin on the HBO TV series Entourage is based on Weinstein. The character is portrayed as an intimidating and aggressive producer. Weinstein himself has reportedly responded positively to the character. He is married to Georgina Chapman. In 2004,where she launched Marchesa (Emma's dresses she will now wear) which is named after socialite.

From nymag.com "And despite Weinstein’s well-deserved reputation for being an ogre, for running roughshod over anyone who gets in his way, that case is pretty convincing. As more than one person has told me, Michael Eisner could be the one person in all of Hollywood who makes Harvey Weinstein seem sympathetic and likable. Weinstein—who, if you really press him, will admit he’s not an easy guy to work with."

From digitalspy.com October 2010 Emma said, "Actually, I'm quite shy, I've never liked attention and money. I feel myself a little bit like Finding Nemo's Dory - I just keep swimming and don't turn around to watch the mess." From blog post I did named Emma Watson: being famous is a pain in the ass

As for this I was in denial of being famous and then being famous hurt my dating life, that's a load of garbage. That is what she is saying. She's using the fame for her and against her all at the same time. People are falling for it. It's sad they are too busy going "aww" when they look at her to realize she is pulling a fast one. After ten years of being famous she gets amnesia about it? She's decieving again like she did with Brown. Just read this blatant deception and this was in the same interview as the denial of her fame and that fame hurts her dating life.
