It was announced at the live event "TV ANIME 'K-ON!' Live Event ~Come with Me!!~" at Saitama Super Arena on February 20th that the theatrical version of the hit anime "K-ON!" will be released on December 3rd, 2011.
"K-ON!" is adapted from Kakifly's yonkoma manga which has been published in four volumes and has sold more than 2.5 million copies. It is the story about high school girl Hirasawa Yui, who enters the pop music club which is about to be abolished. The manga has been adapted into a animation twice and it's not hard to recall with what kind of impact the CDs and blu-ray discs had hit the market.
In the original manga, the heroine had a graduation ceremony in September 2010, and series will "restart" in the spring of 2011. Keep your eyes on it!
