Rock band Heavenstamp, who were selected as an artist to watch in 2011 by J-WAVE, recently performed live at the McDonald’s Tokio Hot 100 Awards ceremony, where they formally announced their major debut.

As the performance started, the silhouettes of the four members appeared and they began performing songs from their first mini-album, “Hype“, released by Goldtone Records. Vocalist and guitarist Sally#Cinnamon led the crowd with her luxurious and wild performance, and during an MC sequence, she announced the band’s major debut to applause from the crowd. Heavenstamp then performed “Stand by You” to the crowd of 700.

Heavenstamp will be releasing their major debut EP, “Stand by You EP + Remixes“, on April 13th on Warner Music Japan.

Heavenstamp first formed in 2009, and quickly gained traction in the indie live scene with their hard rock sound. At the end of 2010, they released their first mini-album, “Hype”, to critical acclaim, which led to the announcement of their major label debut. “Stand by You EP + Remixes” will be produced in collaboration with Bloc Party’s Russel Risack, and will include remixes by 80kidz, Bloc Party, and Pepe California.
