And three of the "art" works which the members thought to be "good!" will be given to a lucky fan who watched the program. Live Report : MIYAVI- WHAT'S MY NAME WORLD TOUR 2011 2/19 at Fukuoka Drum Be-1

 

As the venue buzzed with excitement from new and old fans, 雅-MIYAVI- appeared on the right-hand side of the stage, strumming the first few chords of "WHAT'S MY NAME?" The long hair extensions from his previous tour were gone, leaving a long bob-style head of ebony. He was donning all black: a loose, low-cut black sweater, visibly displaying the word "un-do" tattooed on his chest, black three-quarter length cargo pants and black shoes. "Raw" and " clean" sprung to mind, much like the instrumental arrangement for his latest album.

雅-MIYAVI- ripped into the song in earnest as BOBO appeared on stage to assist on drums. It was a solid opening with a lot of impact. -雅-MIYAVI-'s energy brought the whole venue to life with everyone jumping, swaying and dancing. With "UNIVERSE" the intensity remained high, but the atmosphere was distinctively different; as if everything was under the surface, waiting to break through. His voice carried a raw edge to it that can only be experienced live. His unique guitar playing style gives full credit to his "samurai guitarist" name. It looked as if his fists were simply beating the instrument, but the musical resonance he created told otherwise.

"Are you ready to survive?" 雅-MIYAVI- screamed as he began the next song, "SURVIVE". During the song he paused and repeatedly asked "What's my name?" and got enthusiastic replies of "MIYAVI!" each time. "Give it up to BOBO!" he yelled and plunged into a brand new track. The crowd jumped up and down in time with雅-MIYAVI-, responding to every "Come on, come on!", getting even more fired up. Without pause, the next song started; another new track with a hard beat that had everyone clapping their hands, head banging furiously and jumping up and down with such power it was unbelievable.

After a short water break, the venue's collective intensity was about to reach the next level. 雅-MIYAVI- began strumming the very familiar "おっさんおっさん俺なんぼ/Ossan Ossan Ore Nanbo" and the fans went crazy, shrieking in response to his beckoning them to repeat the lyrics.

Gackt : “I’ve broken my car in accidents 13 times.”

On February 24th, singer GACKT participated in a live video program on popular site Niconico Douga, where he revealed his bad luck with cars. During the show, GACKT gave advice to 10 users (which were chosen at 1 in 5000 odds) on dealing with misfortune.

One female user said she was caught in a fire twice in the last 5 years, to which GACKT replied, “I’ve broken my car in accidents 13 times.” But, he added, since he is alive, although he draws trouble, he also has the luck to get out of it. He attempted to cheer up the young lady by saying “It’s people who have the luck to get out of trouble that end up surviving longer than normal lucky people. You have the [former] kind of luck so you’re like me.”

Another user said he came to Tokyo from Hokkaido for work but since then, he hasn’t been able to stop coughing. Without missing a beat, GACKT shouted, “You, go to the hospital!”

GACKT also showed his sweet side to a fan who said she missed out on his summer live by managing to only bring the ticket stub to the concert. He told her humorously, “That’s not your misfortune. It was my misfortune not being able to see you.”

After the event, GACKT said he “hasn’t had this much fun in a while. This type of thing is good.” The radio program had the most number of viewers in Niconico history, attracting around 154,000 users.

Aqua Timez's future tour!!

On February 27th, five membered rock band Aqua Timez performed at an outdoor concert in Tokyo’s Ueno Onshi Park.

Around 2000 fans attended the event, which was held in celebration of their 4th album, “Carpe Diem“, which was released on February 16th. The band performed nine songs in total, including new tracks “Full a Gain” and “Let Loose“.

As for their concert plans later in the year, Aqua Timez will begin a nationwide tour in June, with the final stop at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo on August 24th.

Vocalist Futoshi told fans at the outdoor live, “Our tour is starting in June. We want too see everyone again.”

New band from Livqueur Records : 黒翼 (Kokuyoku)

The band is called 黒翼 (Kokuyoku), and they actually formed on May 29th, 2010, but have decided to ramp up activities by joining Livqueur Records this February. You can see the lineup info below, but it seems that all the members are new to the scene. In order from left to right :

Drums: 鬼繋 -kizuna-
Vocals: 寥 -ryo-
Bass: 流華 -ruka-
Guitar : 銀狼 -ginrou-

The band currently has no announced releases or special lives, In the mean time, they have shows planned for March 6th @ Nanba ROCKETS, March 19th @ HOLIDAY OSAKA, and April 16th @ HOLIDAY OSAKA.

On February 26th, veteran rock band Kuroyume made their full comeback and announced a new single!

The band held their “FUCK THE FAKE STAR” live concert at Tokyo’s Yoyogi Park, where approximately eleven thousand fans crowded around to hear their favorite band make their official comeback, and they performed a total of thirty-three songs. Kuroyume had previously attempted to hold a secret live for their anxious fans, but were stopped by the police after only a minute due to the unexpectedly high turnout of five thousand fans.

During the concert, vocalist Kiyoharu took a short break to smoke a cigarette and make an announcement to all the Kuroyume fans attending the live. “We said that we’d break up (during) a live, so excuse us for making a comeback. But since you came and are here, it’s okay. Everyone, thank you,” he said, referring to the band’s message in 2008. He then continued, “A (new) single will be out around May. Maybe. Making and releasing as many new songs as possible is what it means to us to ‘make a comeback’.”

For those who are not aware of Vasalla. It was a 5 member band within the 90's. Noted for being one of the earlier Visual Kei bands of the time, and was quite comparable to X Japan. Neat little tidbit is, after the disbandment of Vasalla in 2001 due to Vocalist Hideki's throat surgery, the other members have joined other bands that you might recognize today. (Nightingeil, D, Syndrome, JILS, C4, Grimm, Cryella . . . so on and so forth )

    
        Despite the disbandment, Vasalla has held multiple reunion concerts, and this was the treat to come out
this year. Not just a reunion show, but a complete remastering of some of their legendary songs.
 as a big Vasalla fan, I came......to the conclusion that this was a good purchase!!  lol

 After receiving the CD in the mail from CD japan. I popped that disc in and listened to what seem to be a complete revamp of Vasalla. I was seriously shocked, in the best way possible. I was very proud to see that the throat surgery Hideki had, did not affect his voice that much. You can tell he is older now, however, you cannot put an age on the priceless and timeless music that is Vasalla.

As a new integration of my Youtube channel, I compiled a mixture of OLD Vasalla songs, next to the revamped versions!  It really is a treat to see the makeover these songs recieved

Also, If you are a Vasalla freak like myself, please support the official release!  It really is worth the money

(Enjoying that cd , thanks to my best friend  who gave it to me as an xmas present <3 

I love you Az..more than you could ever imagine.)

TAIJI (ex- X JAPAN) to be promoted in Korea!!

Former bassist of X JAPAN, TAIJI, created his own rock band in 2004, called “TAIJI with HEAVENS”. The group has just signed a contract with Korea’s “Frontman-group” and is planning on starting full blown activities in Korea.

The band held a live last year in Korea after receiving a tempting offer, and with that as a start, they are planning to appear on TV, hold live events, and advance into Korea’s rock scene. TAIJI with HEAVENS plans on having concerts, TV appearances, autograph sessions at fan meetings, and talk shows in 2011.

The band will be performing at the Japan-Korea ROCK concert in Seoul on March 19th, called “Rock Dog Korea”. TAIJI plans on showing off a re-arranged version of his famous song, “Voiceless Screaming”, from his X JAPAN days, as well as new songs.

REQUEST : False Ear plugs / Tunnels

Interesting request from someone on the request box asking:

Setton where do i buy tube-like clip on earrings?

For those who don't know, plugs/tunnels are piercings which actually create a small hole in the ear and stretching that hole out slow over a period of years (it can be huge). So obviously, once you get it, you can't undo it.

The typical false ones, have the standard is 1.2mm in thickness so it will fit in standard piecred ears.

But as you asked for "clip on", there aren't that many apart from the magnetic ones which can be painful as it squeezes your earlobes together.

I've found some websites and all of the sites look dodgy and there aren't many choices. Here is one site, body-jewelry-shop.com. (As I do not own the site, nor used it, I can't take responisbly if you do decide to buy from there.)

On another note, why not just get your ears pierced?
